Saw a brief posting about this over on the Peak Oil Community, about this new sports car called the Loremo. Hmmmmm, it's mileage is pretty amazing. If it's a SULEV or PZEV, I'm sold. For now...

In Germany a lot of people drive Smart Cars ( http://www.smart.com/ ) which are not only inexpensive but use very little fuel.

yeah, they've been in europe for quite some time now (1998?).... personally i think they suck ass. i mean, when swatch and mercedes first started up the concept it was supposed to be 100% electric. they only went petrol because they saw it as a tougher market to penetrate without gas. sellout chumps.

50mpg doesnt impress me much, i mean the crosstown (smart hybrid electric) still doens't hit 60mpgin the city. AND NONE OF THEM ARE SULEV OR PZEV(!!) So as far as emissions go, it's no beaut. sorry. i know they're a cute babystep. just not all that impresseive. I am however impressed that there is a Quohog RI!!

That's actually a joke. In the TV show Family Guy there is a fictional Quahog School for Performing arts. Rhode Island provides 25% of the nation's total Quahog catch. In 1987 Quahog became the state's official shell. RI has become synonamous with Quahogs which is why Family Guy writers routinely use it to make up names of places.

I live in Pawtucket Rhode Island. I grew up in Coventry Rhode Island. There isn't actually a Quahog town though.

well there's RISD. thats pretty neat. AND ONE OF THE COOLEST TECHNOLOGIES I KNOW OF is based in RI

but nah, Pawtucket Pat was the willy wonka like guy in FG who finally let people into his brewry if they found the silver scrolls.. oh well, i dont watch lotsa TV but someone gave me a FG series in a box... ha ha ha ....

still RISD rocks and teh Talking Heads came from RI.... can't be all bad...

I wouldn't buy this car because of collision safety issues.
By the way that also is the reason not to ride a motorcycle :-)

I would like to see it on the roads, though..
