tidal power for the bay.....
The Highs and Lows of the Fundy make good volts
The Bay of Fundy (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Maine) tides rise and fall higher and lower than anywhere on earth creating one of the richest marine ecosystems on the planet. Whales such as finback, minke, humpback and the extremely rare North Atlantic right whale congregate to feed their young, play and mate. But its that highest and lowest tide on the planet that got 8 parts of the bay listed in a landmark international study on tidal power by the Electric Power Research Institute, an independent, non-profit centre for electricity and environmental research based in California.
