| how many Amish websites have YOU been going to?? |

ok ok i know its somewhat incongruous, an Amish e-commerce site. but laugh all you want, i know that these guys (ok these guys with funny beards and buggies) are on to something we could all get in touch with; non-electric functionality. In these days of 1-Ton challenges (the canadian Milquetoast approach to meeting Kyoto), voluntary efficiency and rolling brownouts, picking up a few of the goodies available at Lehmans will not only help you save electricity and do the good planet thing.... it also may ensure you get to eat your supper on time....
Lehmans started off selling what you would expect;
 (BTW that's a Snath, not a Scythe) farm tools and simple things that make one's live on the land just a little bit easier, like this one-legged-stool
 of course, they have expanded to the wonderful world of non electric goodies of all sorts (power free food processors, hand-cranked blenders for camp-yard smoothies, bed heaters et al.) even veggie (i.e. non-rennet, not vegan, sorry) cheese making kits... they even have a whole wheatgrass sprout-making section (pretty fab for Amish dontcha think?)( Read more... ) |

"We've got to find something that works better." I couldn’t agree more. Pardon my language, but fuck 1990 levels for GHg's.... we need 1790 levels if we want a stable climate regime... in fact, I think we need to invent some machine that takes-in air, traps the CO2, frees the O2 and then compressed the C (make stuff with it. like slinky carbon-thread clothes... or diamonds!), and Cambell almost seems to think like me,
almost... ( Read more... ) |

ok so now the poop is really flowing down the pipe …and its getting thicker by the second. Since last I posted (all but a few hours ago) there’s now 199 related articles about this USA/AUS climate dealio… some things I’ve noticed:
ok right off the bat—noticed that the name of this accord is “Beyond Kyoto” and the press guppies are gobbling it up! Hmmm….. sounds familiar doesn’t it? ( Read more... ) |
