j/k but
¿How about a new approach to that hot stock tip thang ...like D.I.Y?

DaBooty
A while back I said that i thought Zapworld would be a good green stock to buy. Some people disagreed (they were right ...so far-- as a few days later ZAPZ changed their name to ZP and then two things happened; 1) the head of Mercedes in germany said there was no way in hell that zap would distribute his smart cars-- Rutger Hauer or not-- regardless of a deal signed years ago with the earlier smart developers, and 2) their shares have sunk by about 45% since then....

but who's kidding who? I'm an info guy-- you want a hot stock tip? go to a hot stock tip guy... you want the info-- well, i guess that's why you're reading this. And as far as i'm concerned, I'd rather give you the tools for figuring it out yourself then consider myself so high that i can toss a scrap every now and then. So here, click on this and see who and what is there for sale... buy stocks or not, but rather then listen to business2.0 or fastco. Y not do the research yourself? and that link up there, for the weekly winners and losers in the LOHAS stock community can help you get there....

new weather modification bills ...for weather and "other" purposes [Nov. 4th, 2005|10:14 am]

funny ....you don't look evil!

Ladies and Gentlemen, meet U.S. Senator Kay Baily Hutchison (R. Tex). She's introduced a bill which in many ways will signal a major change in people's perception of the entire climate debate. The nice Senator has launched Bill S. 2170, THE WEATHER MODIFICATION RESEARCH AND TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER AUTHORIZATION ACT.
chemie Much like Senator Mike Crapo's (his name, not what i think of his bill) Bill S-517 `Weather Modification Research and Technology Transfer Authorization Act of 2005'. I guess S-517 was tailored too much for business and not enough for evil or something...

It is high time that this was brought out into the open ...even though it's been illegal for 35 years it's pretty much 'common knowledge' (at least in the tin-foil hat community) that this has been going on unabated. And now, as for legitimacy, even the Senator has acknowledged that (and I quote);

"These efforts have been used in the U.S. for more than 50 years to reduce crop and property damage, optimize useable (sic) precipitation during growing seasons and lessen the impact of periodic, often severe droughts(ctd)..."
negachems
"....The weather modification projects in Texas and other States in the U.S. are much more than well considered responses to drought. They are trying to use the latest technological developments in the science to chemically squeeze more precipitation out of clouds. Moisture that is needed to replenish fresh-water supplies in aquifers and reservoirs." </quote>

So that's their plan for combating global warming. Wow. I guess when i look up at the sky and see a crosshatched series of Frankenclouds, i no longer have to worry about being paranoid-delusional, they are making the clouds!
scalar
Sheesh! that doesn't make me feel any better.... well maybe if y'all write a email or letter to Senator Hutchison, let her know what you think... i know i will

The word is out, all over town.
Cliche as it already is, green = new black.

Two weeks ago in may favorite old-fashioned newspaper, FT, was gushing over green-stylee guru Danny Seo, and stated that; "decorating and style conventions are being blown down, and homes are being built back up meaner, leaner and greener." ...then toady in the SF Gate they say that "green is the trendy way to go!" and none of that is a surprise to anyone here. In fact, green consumerism has a funny tone to it.. but personally I liken it to cracks forming and letting the light seep in. As if we've been collectively cocooned while in our sleepwalking state, and now through lifestyle changes, we are actually morphing a culture, hence, unshackling the bonds. for me it's a harbinger, but of good things to come! So, in that light I would like to shine a little more on ya:

Meet Maki Hayazono. She's the designer for a company in Tokyo called Rourou (pronounced "lou-lou"). Last night, at Japan Fashion Week, Ms. Hayazono (who modeled for and studied with uberchic Yoji Yamamoto) launched her latest line, "the Lotus Room" (pictured below). And just in case you're wondering why i care about the Lotus Room collection... well, let's just look at 'em ...and use the keywords Hemp, Recycled Silk, and Elegance!

Speaking of fashion, I just wanted you to know about a nice option when looking for footware.

I really like this store... They're called Vegetarian Shoes and based in the UK. Sadly, I must admit that their selction for men is quite superior to their selection for women (unless you are a dreadlocked earth mama, or fix your own truck/motorcycle/don't like men type). As far as the products go, often times it's questionable as to whether these materials are any better for the environment. But unless you have especially good luck with finding retro shoes (I got an AMAZING pair of houndstooth john fleuvog dessert boots in San Francisco. Once), if you don't like wearing things that used to be alive-- these are a good alternative..

So for casual or dressy-- next time you're looking for some new biscuits for your doggs.... it's the veggie shoe shop!
