more ice age news.....
ok many have heard that the gulf stream is now said to be operating at a 30% reduction (a lot nicer than 2 months ago they were saying that you couldn't say that it was down by 75%)

here's the ReralClimate debate and a nice article saying its the beginning of the Day After Tomorrow. It even made it into Slashdot.

I wish i was wrong on this one.... next post i promise, is going to be on how to stop-the-ice-age. i promise

thats really interesting
im curious, why do u think there are still 'Not enough measurements had been made to rule out natural variability, said Dr Rintoul, of the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystem Co-operative Research Centre. But even so this was "an important observation".
like in a lot of ways im very naive. i dont know if i beleive that with the technology avaliable, that they cant already know the reason?
have i got accuracy in suggesting that basically economically this is way tooo damaging to let out such info,? i know in one sense this is an obvious statement,
a lot of these articles are just language crap, procrstinating random maybes just to pretend that they dont know whats going on, urgh its times likes these when i feel waay too naive for my own good and wish id studied geology or even economics!haha

yeah well realclimate are great at telling you why it can't be fully accepted as a certainty that changes are happening....

i think that they have the technology to know quite a bit (general circulation models, while vastly improved over the pst 10 years, still cant tell you everything) but there is proxy data as well that is not being looked at seriously but tells what has happened previously (no let's just trust a computer).

And then theres also this one; it blows my mind that a glacier on/near the north pole has been growing at 12Km a year and it hit the BBC once, US media nonce, and even though Santa's getting squashed by a kilometer and a half thick ice, and even though they have sattelites that can weigh the dirt under my fingernails, they just don't seem to have them pointing at this MASSIVE event, no seriously for smart monkeys we're really stupid sometimes = ( (but i do have hope monkey will evolve more)

mm yeah that my point:/
no you know what i do think though its not stupid(like intelligence) i think its stupid, as greeed, i think they know pretty damn well, but our society is run by the infrastructure of economy, it just cant equal our present society surviving and thats a reeeealy threat, though yeah you are right, THOSe people are thick as shit and selfish and RWqsfcdfsd!!!
shit, well the bbc also dont cover much stuff with bias, take the 'french riots'(copyrighted label ahaha) there was no coverage and all they did say was er yeah rioters attaking pigs.
they have no interest in getting the public to know about any of this to an extent?you think?
sorry i got back from work and had a veeeery annoying argument with a collegue about class war, arrrgh he got my blood boiling!1heehee

...actually it's kinda funny , cause in the real climate debate thats now rolling over from the 30%,there's this guy, let's call him Dave
davedave and he's been way busy in all of these "sane" and scientifically balanced climate chaneg debate servers in theearly geek years. And while i respect him for his smarts, i also get annoyed at his skepticism. besides that he has over the years, allegedly, been paid to do the work for some of the Oil injected Greenhouse debunking organizations like the Greening Earth Society who made the films where more CO2 meant biger plants an duck/cover... as well as noted Washington "think" tank the Cato Institute...

So Dave obviously can always tell us how the signs we see are not scientificaly proveable that the shit is goingto hit the fan. And the funny thing i saw today was that he piped in to quel some "Warmer's" paranoi.. and ended with a little paragraph saying:

"My initial impression is that it is an abrupt change in progress, the question is how large? But first one has to look at the data to see if they are even meaningful." I mean for this guythat is a huge statement.

And if we are in an Abrupt Climate Change Process, ok it won't be like teh day after tomorrow, but it will throw absoluteley everything we know and love (and some things we don't) upside dow
