future friendly Normal stuff

Normal is not your average company. Maybe in another 20 years it will be the norm, but for now, this unique Chicago company is drawing attention near and far and proving once again, that it is possible to have Karim Rashid stylee while making products that take a whole life-cycle into consideration. Normal "co-pilot" Carl Boyd certainly walks his talk, making prducts that are not only made (mostly) from recycled materials, but are designed to be taken appart and recycled completely. That room divider up there: made from aluminum and clear HDPE plastic. Can be completely recycled when its no longer useful (I guess when your room no longer needs dividing).
Oh, another great thing about Normal, aside from their sleek stylee is that they have a sense of humour. Like for example in their F.A.Q. they have some funny questions:
Q: You're one of those 'green' companies, right?
A: We've consulted our historians, with vast expertise on the 21st century, and determined that you are mistaken. We are merely designers from the future, making stuff the way it's made in our time. You appear to have mixed us up with "Little Green Men from Mars". ((see, thats a great answer, not preachy and kinda dumb-funny, what a way to dispell the myths!))
Q: Um, but if you are an "Eco" company, then where are the pictures of mountains and flowers?
A: Humans work and live primarily in interior landscapes, which is where our products thrive. So close your eyes, think of a beautiful mountain landscape, and pretend you're there, singing the Sound of Music....
so there you go (and look at that recycles car-tire waste basket-- i wasn't kidding when I said Rashidlike), check them out and enjoy! Once again there is no need to go for the oatmeal-bland style when the future is getting greener and greener (men from mars aside)....
