global warming is an existential threat that should affect our approach to just about every issue. To take it seriously, we would have to change the way we think about transportation, agriculture, development, water resources, natural disasters, foreign relations and more.

Sound Moves Matter! [May. 22nd, 2006|09:08 am]

sand
So anyone who has dealt with hulda clarks zapper (or a Rife machine), as well as anyone wondering how dolphins can heal human diseases, might want to check out this video. It's just sand on a plate and a frequency generator, but personally i have seen this with sand on a drumskin and a few other variations. This is the basics for a tricorder, for healing with sound and a variety of other goodies we may get to enjoy if we get it together and evolve.... but no matter, it's kinda cool!

My Happy Place II [Mar. 2nd, 2006|07:44 pm]

(the continuing saga of lee’s happy make-believe land)
queenst
I’ve been meaning to come back to this subject for a while now, My Happy Place, because I didn’t think that I could have covered it all the first time. And I didn’t.

Although I did briefly mention Rooftop Greenhouses, Living Machines, and the PRT’s of my happy little space ((that I stared to visualize --as my own private xanax-- then draw pictures, and then actually got to be part of it’s happening in R/L, even with hits and misses and babysteps….…)) I certainly didn’t cover it all. It was more of a why than a what. And so I decided to come back and drop some details about MHP.
OK, it’s obvious that there has been a massive undertaking where streets have been de-paved, treed, and the roofs are now jeweled in greenhouses and are used as the transport routes for all of our Personal Rapid Transits (which of course, know our play lists before we even step in). Yes! As far as the eye can see the city has been transformed in MHP, all alleyways have been de-paved, their fences broken down and glass encased micro parks provide warm havens throughout the wintertime to every neighborhood. And yes there are living machines on every block, and obviously everyone is free to help themselves to the bountiful produce, as there is always something ripe for the pickin….

My Happy Place [Nov. 26th, 2005|05:36 pm]

..when things get me down, overwhelmed by all that happening on the planet, and about to happen, and all the work we have to do... i go to this place. My happy place. And I'm opening it up now to you

montreal
Welcome! I've been meaning to invite you al to my happy place for some time. This is my world I've created, no one can bust the bubbles here, and my oh my, the technologies in this place are simply amazing!!! I've even been sketching fleeting moments of it, and now I see that the more I put my creative energy to this (and everyone else doing this, and there are many) the more this reality creeps in, and takes over the boring gray one, where there's still climate refugees and geopolitical strife.

So the above snapshot must be circa 2025 or something, not too sure, but it's definitely St. Lurent & Rache, right around the corner from my old place in Montreal. Of course with rooftop greenhouses, PRTs, Living Machines, and no ugly pavement to be seen! I’m serious about this! This is where we are heading. And nobody is going to sway me ...See, it all started in Montreal about 7 years ago.

..living right in the building in the middle of the above picture, I had been doing documentaries about climate change for about 4 years, and to be honest, I was a little freaked out about the coming changes, and the feeling that no one was getting prepared, and well, the near-hopelessness... In the documentaries I was making I was allowing a lot of people the room to say what their vision of the future was (usually not all that hot, tbh) and I was pretty much just hanging on like a water skier...
